Description: Sorbus 'Joseph Rock' is an outstanding little tree with an upright compact shape renowned for its clusters of persistent, round, creamy yellow fruit, becoming orange-yellow as they ripen. The leaves turn shades of red, orange and purple in the autumn.
History: Named after Dr Joseph Rock of the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh, and thought to have come from seeds collected from Yundshi Mountain in Yunnan, China in the 1932.
Growing Tips: Grow in moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil in full sun or light shade. Hardy and tolerant of urban pollution and coastal conditions.
