An upright, spreading, deciduous shrub with lobed, toothed, wrinkled, mid-green leaves and clusters of insignificant, yellow-green flowers in mid- to late spring followed by heavy crops of glossy, edible, translucent, bright red fruit ready for harvest in mid- to late summer.
