Columbines are now available in a wide range of colours and plant heights. The Winky series, reportedly a mildew tolerant series, produces loads of upfacing blooms held just above a bushy, compact mound of lacy leaves. The plants are uniform in habit and height with strong stems. This variety has deep burgundy-red outer petals surrounding an inner white trumpet or corolla, blooming spring to early summer. Great for edging and in containers. Either allow plants to self-seed or cut back hard right after blooming
